I came across this little application in the Ubuntu Forums. It is easily installed using apt-get or synapitc if you are using Ubutnu 8.10. Basically what the tool does is scan for you paired cellphone and automatically perform an action (run a command or script) based on the signal level. This is a great function for saving power or security reasons. you can have your system automatically log you off, mute playing music, turn off your monitor, turn off lights (or anything x10 controlable), etc....
